Zeitlauf Antriebstechnik

Fund-raising campaign in anniversary year

Company in the town of Lauf supports Hubert Schwarz Foundation

Lauf/Pegnitz, 09. December 2007 – for ZEITLAUF antriebstechnik, a medium sized company located in the town of Lauf, 2007 was a really special year. With great pride and pleasure, this manufacturer of small gear motors celebrated its 50 years of existence with a whole host of events that made its anniversary year a landmark along the chain of company history to date. And all anniversary related activities were held in aid of charitable causes.

The lead up was the major opening celebrations held on the 20th of January, accompanied by a firework display and appropriate holiday mood on Kunigundenberg, or Kunigunde Hill, in Lauf. Events were held all year, including the “District Run” and the “Old Town Run” as well as the “Open Day”, to name but a few.

All these activities involved the charitable objective of allowing those in need of urgent support to participate in the company’s success. So every activity was associated with a fund-raising event in aid of the globally active Hubert Schwarz Foundation.

Willingness to make donations on the part of company employees and friends was overwhelming. The donations collected plus the sum with which the ZEITLAUF management rounded them off, made up the substantial total of 6000.- Euro.
Thomas Horz, Managing Director of ZEITLAUF, presented the cheque to the founders of the foundation, Hubert and Renate Schwarz, on the 9th of December 2007 as part of the company Christmas party held at the Dehnberger Hoftheater, where their anniversary year had its fitting festive finale.

The intention is to equally divide the donations between two of the foundation’s charitable causes.
Kinderschicksale Mittelfranken e. V. provides assistance to families with sick or disabled children in adversity. This involves help to obtain therapy etc., in cases where the health insurance schemes provide no finance and the costs are too much for the families themselves.

The second good cause is a school project in Tanzania, aimed at enabling children from poor families to obtain an education, and paying for school uniforms, books and writing equipment, or for employing teachers, for instance.

But a Christmas gift was also intended for Verein Dehnberger Hoftheater e. V., the association that runs Dehnberger Hoftheater. The Director of the Theater  Mr. Weiß, received a cheque for 2,500.00 Euro from ZEITLAUF, by way of support for the association and its important cultural commitment to the region.
