The German Internet Prize, the most prestigious German IT competition, will be awarded this year for the ninth time. One of the tasks of the nation-wide initiative "Germany - Land of Ideas" is to find medium-sized firms with pioneering IT systems that are tried and tested. A total of 300 applications were submitted. The prize-giving ceremony was at the meeting of the 4th German ITK Association of Small and Medium-sized Companies in Stuttgart, where BITKOM welcomed top industry representatives and users of innovative IT solutions.
"Think innovatively and act innovatively too - those are the criteria to which we orientate our day-to-day business. But to maintain our position as a technology leader in the field of motive power engineering we are in continuous pursuit of still more peak performance at the highest technical level. It's the only way to offer our customers even better products and services." Thus Thomas Horz,

Not only in motive power engineering but in the World Wide Web too. However, it wouldn't have been possible without the professional and creative support of the da capo Creative Agency for Integrated Communication and netlogix, the IT specialists. In the area of brand management da capo has been both a strong partner and a decisive contributor to the success of the whole project - from the specifications list and the strategic planning to the screen design - with project management from netlogix during the programming phase."
The competition is sponsored by the German Ministry of Economy and Technology (BMWi). The firms acting as partners in the competition are Datev, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Microsoft, Oracle and Pricewaterhouse-Coopers.
