More skilled personnel thanks to appropriate education and further training measures
The Bavarian economy will face a serious shortage of skilled personnel in the near future. This conclusion is the result of a study entitled “Arbeitslandschaft 2030” conducted by Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e. V., a Bavarian business association. There will be a shortage of around 520,000 skilled personnel by 2015.
Andrea Hessel, Head of Human Resources at ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik, is certain that the only way to attract the best brains and thus obtain a decisive competitive advantage, long-term, is by pursuing a forward-looking personnel management policy. “To make ourselves attractive to job seekers, as a medium-sized business, our personnel policy is based on a multi-pronged approach. Along with fostering the individual and making significant investments in education and further training, our company promotes lifelong learning in order to qualify our employees for new assignments”, explains the Head of Human Resources. ZEITLAUF® provides flexible working patterns and various health promotion measures to make sure that job, family and health are brought into balance for men and women alike. “In addition, our corporate culture stands out out thanks to the high degree of personal independence, freedom in decision-making and openness in interactions with one another it permits”, Andrea Hessel adds.
The forward-looking personnel policy at ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik is based on a 4-pronged approach:
