The challenge:
The special challenge associated with developing the drive technology for the “Bi-Manu-Track” was the unknown torque to be reckoned with. Motion control is classically about controlling a motor designed for the particular load. Load reversal achieved by inputting active force can, however, be forgotten about in practice. However, with the “Bi-Manu-Track” robotic arm trainer it had to be kept in mind that the torque associated with a spastic hand can be several times greater than the output of the motor in normal operation.

The challenge:
Even if a golf caddy is “only” an item of leisure time use, the degree of smoothness demanded is very high. The quiet running and noise reduction peak values established in the certified noise laboratory are impressive. This exemplary noise reduction has been achieved through a combination of modified toothing design and precision production of gearhead parts.

The Performax 42 (single-stage) planetary gearhead with brushless direct current motor from ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik is used with success in electromechanical harvesting systems. The grippers of the harvester have a powerful grasp, shaking the branches of the olive tree to bring the valuable harvest down into the nets.

The challenge:
The demands on electro-mechanical harvesting systems are exacting. They must offer the user the optimum working comfort, absolute robustness and a long working life. The Performax 42 planetary gearhead (1-stage) is the perfect gear for this demanding application. It is equipped with an adapter flange specially developed by us for direct installation in the application, and is convincing for its absolute reliability and durability.

- The Compactline 92.3 spur gearhead is built into the lower burner screw of the energy efficient ÖkoFEN Pellematic pellet-fired boiler.

The challenge:
The special challenge in developing spur gearhead Compactline 92.3 was posed by the many different design requirements. First and foremost was the demand for a compact gearhead motor with high power density, quiet running and unusually efficient, for use in boilers fired using pellets that are as energy efficient as possible and have low associated emission values.
But, alongside these stringent requirements, spur gearhead Compactline 92.3 was required to conform to other criteria. For instance, an important safety aspect was the inclusion of an integrated temperature sensor that monitors the heating system electronically and switches off the gearhead motor in an emergency. Also, brief periods of higher nominal torque are possible. And, last but not least, the complete wiring of the condenser and the motor cable (Plug and Play) makes for user-friendly operation.

The challenge:
Today, security gates have to provide both accessibility and security. Uniting these obviously contradictory requirements presents a major challenge.
The requirements of the gearhead to be developed were consequently equally high. To meet these stringent requirements, angle gearhead EtaCrown® 75.2 with permanent magnet DC motor (type BCI 63 x 55 for 24 V) has to be absolutely proof against vandalism, has to be quiet running and has to combine low gear backlash with long service life.

The challenge:
When applying price labels to prepacked food items, state-of-the-art electronics and ultimate precision are essential for precise weight measurement and pricing. The label is applied to top and bottom of the pack. Therefore it is applied in the form of the letter “C”. This makes it possible to be sure that the package has not been opened. In addition, such packages can be stacked because weight and price are printed on the edge.

From there, the books are returned to the automatic lending system of public libraries.
