Used to drive security barrier gates, the special EtaCrown® angle gearhead with integrated planetary output stage from ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik makes for quick, controlled access in two directions.

The challenge:
Nowadays, security gates have to provide both accessibility and security. Uniting these obviously contradictory requirements presents a major challenge.
The requirements of the gearhead to be developed were consequently equally high. To perform this delicate task, special angle gearhead EtaCrown® from ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik has to be absolutely proof against vandalism, has to be quiet when running and has to combine low gear backlash with long service life.
Frame-integrated door drive
The function of this drive:
This special version EtaCrown® angle gearhead from ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik is a unique gearmotor invisibly and completely integrated into the door leaf or door frame. This smooth running yet powerful drive automatically opens and closes the doors of buildings.

The challenge for this drive:
This gearmotor, entirely integrated inside a door leaf, had to provide permanent max. performance, efficiency and reliability in the tightest of installation spaces. ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik achieved this by designing a special version EtaCrown® angle gearhead into which a high-performance planetary gearhead stage is integrated. The steel face gear stage is made of hardened steel and is combined with an upstream helical planetary gear stage made of plastic, plus a downstream straight bevel planetary stage made of hardened steel
